Calix Society of Central Arkansas Formation Meeting

The Catholic Diocese of Little Rock is sponsoring a new unit of the Calix Society, a national organization founded in 1947 in Minnesota for Alcoholics in recovery and their families to come together for support and spiritual healing.  Calix Society of Central Arkansas is not a substitute for AA or Al-Anon but is an amplification of the 11th step which calls for individual spiritual development.  The group is Catholic, guided by a chaplain and open to all faiths.  All are welcome to attend the monthly meetings including family and friends who are affected.  A Mass followed by the Formation meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 16th from 6 p.m. — 7:30 p.m. at St. John Catholic Center, 2500 North Tyler Street, Little Rock.  The evening will begin with a Mass at 6:00 followed by the meeting to elect officers and will be held in the Fletcher Hall building, 1st floor Lafferty Chapel and Music Room respectively.  For more information, please call 501-664-0340 x336 or e-mail calix@dolr.org.  To learn more about the Calix Society, go to:  www.calixsociety.org.
