The music room just received some new drums and I am so excited about it! We got some hand drums, one djembe, one konga, one floor tom and one set of bongos. We have been signing some songs and playing the drums to the steady beat as we sing. For most classes, I have enough drums for everyone to have their own. Other classes, we are working on the concept of *sharing*.
Each class is reviewing musical concepts from last year; rhythms, dyanmics, tempo, pitch, notes, etc.
Soon, the fourth, fifth and sixth graders will be starting with the recorders again.
I am so excited to be in our new facility and I hope that you join me in thanking God for this wonderful gift! I pray that you all have a wonderful year in school!
